Jiří Wackermann | CZ DE EN |
Jiří Wackermann was occupied with creative photography in 1970s; after a break of about thirty years he resumed his photographic activity. He ist still dedicated to the classic black-and-white photography, uses mechanical, middle-format film-based cameras and standard photochemical procedures. The intent of his work is not a "beautiful picture"; he rather aims at capturing the moments of visual fascination, at the image "in becoming." His photographic images are no illustrations, no documents; they do not want to persuade the recipient. They want to be just what they are: images. Selected works Exhibitions Press and media |
